Tara Isbell named Pepsi-MSU Athlete Of The Week

Tara Isbell, a freshman goal keeper is the Pepsi-Murray State Athlete of the Week after she posted her second and third shut outs of the season in a 2-0 win over
Isbell made a career high eight saves against EKU, with seven of them coming in the second half when MSU was protecting a 1-0 lead.
Isbell played all 180 minutes in the two games, didn't give up a goal and made 11 total saves. Her goals against average was lowered from 1.77 to 1.26 which pushed her into the top four in the Ohio Valley Conference.
She has also been nominated for goal keeper of the week in the OVC.
MSU has won seven games this season with five of them coming by way of a shut out.
Isbell and the Racers will be on the road for the next three games, before coming home for senior day Oct. 21 against
MSU is 7-6-0 overall and 2-2-0 in the OVC.
