Danero Thomas named Pepsi-MSU Athlete of the Week

Danero Thomas was named the Pepsi-MSU Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Nov. 19-25.

Thomas led the Racer men's basketball team to a season opening victory over The Rider University Broncs in a tight 66-65 victory that pushed the Racers' win streak in home openers to 18 straight.

He led the Racers with 15 points on 5-of-11 shooting including two three-point baskets. Thomas added five rebounds, one assist and steal to the MSU effort.

The Racers play Saturday at Western Kentucky in a noon tip at Diddle Arena in Bowling Green, Ky.
