Katelyn Jones Named Pepsi Athlete of the Week

Murray State cross country runner Katelyn Jones was named the Pepsi Athlete Week.

She finished second in the 5k race at the Saluki Invitational with a time of 18:22.51, only four seconds behind the first place finisher. Jones defeated more than 50 runners which included runners from Eastern Illinois, Southeast Missouri State, SIU Edwardsville, and host Southern Illinois.

This is Jones' first Pepsi Athlete of the Week award of the season.

MSU will compete again Saturday, Oct. 4^th at the Greater Louisville Classic held in Louisville, Ky.
