Murray State Men's Golf junior Hunter Ford is the MSU-Pepsi Athlete of the Week.

Ford helped the Racers bring home the championship of the Sea Trail Intercollegiate Sunday in Sunset Beach, N.C.

Ford, a Paducah, Ky. native, was MSU's top finisher landing a second place finish.

He led the event through 36 holes and even though he was denied his first collegiate victory, Ford did record his best finish. He fired a final round 73 to go along with the 71 and 70 he shot in the first two rounds for 214, which was two shots behind winner Steve Dressell of Elon University.

The Racers return home to host the MSU Invitational at Miller Memorial GC Sep. 29-30.
