Senior Alicia Tempel has been chosen as the Pepsi-MSU Athletes of the Week for Feb. 16-22 after her performance last week.

Tempel placed first in the pole vault at the Redhawk Invitational while shattering her own Murray State record. The Santa Claus, Ind., native vaulted 12'3" in the final meet before the OVC Indoor Track and Field Championships. The mark broke her own record of 10'11.75" set during the 2006-07 campaign.
