Nordahl Named OVC Defensive Player Of The Week

Junior defender Maja Nordahl has been selected Ohio Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Week for Aug. 23 - Aug. 29.
The Oslo, Norway, native played 160 minutes as Murray State split its matches in the 2010 Racer classic, dropping a 4-2 decision to USF Aug. 27 and pulling out a 1-0 overtime victory against Alabama A&M Aug. 29.
Nordahl scored her first goal of the season in the 68th minute against South Florida, drilling her second career goal into the top right corner of the net from 35 yards out.
MSU women's soccer hits the road this weekend, traveling to matches against Tulsa Sept. 3 at 7:35 and Oklahoma State Sept. 5 at 1:00.
