Racer Freshman Delaney Howson Has High Finishes In Canada

Murray State women's golf incoming freshman Delaney Howson of Newmarket, Ontario recently turned in two excellent finishes in Royale Canadian Tour events.
She started with an eighth place showing, July 27-30, at the Canadian Women's Amateur at Kingsville CC in Kingsville, Ontario.
Howson carded rounds of 75-73-68-76=292 making 13 birdies to notch a top-10 showing one of Canada's premier amateur events.
Here third round 4-under-par 68 was jump started by a 32 on the front nine.
Howson had a fourth place finish, Aug. 2-6, at the Canadian Junior Girls Amateur at Sawmill Creek Resort in Camlachie, Ontario.
She fired rounds of 73-70-70-73=286 and was eight shots off the lead.
Howson, who will join the Racers this fall, has been the 10th ranked player in Ontario and earned a spot on the national team of Ontario that competed in the Can-Am Matches in Myrtle Beach, S.C., in 2009.
She has been ranked as high as 44th in Canada.
