Senior Tessa Elkins has been named the Murray State Pepsi Athlete of the Week for her performance over the past two games for the Racers.

Elkins recorded back-to-back double-doubles in the Racers' games against Austin Peay and Belmont. Elkins averaged 10.5 points, 10 rebounds and two steals against the Lady Governors and Lady Bruins. She also helped lead the Racers to their first win in Austin Peay since 2009.

Tessa now has three double-doubles in her career. Elkins and the Racers return to action on Saturday as MSU will host SIUE in a doubleheader along with the men. Tipoff is set for 5 p.m. from The Bank.
