MSU Baseball to Break Ground for Phase-1 of Renovation Campaign

Murray State Athletics has announced a ground breaking ceremony which will precede construction of new grandstand seating at Reagan Field for 'Breds baseball. The ground breaking ceremony is Tuesday, Oct. 29 at 1:30 p.m. at Reagan Field in Murray, Ky.

The new grandstand construction will complement the existing terraced seating area behind home plate and includes 238 chair back seats, 300 bleacher seats and 12 handicapped seats for a total of 550 new seats. The seats will rise from the field level up to the current press box.

The grandstand is part of a phased renovation plan for Reagan Field. As fundraising goals are met, future renovations will include:Stadium lighting; a new pressbox and an indoor practice facility.

Toadvine Enterprises of Louisville will be in charge of the project. Dant Clayton is the manufacturer of the bleachers and chair back seats. They have provided seating for other collegiate facilities including McLane Stadium at Michigan State, Jim Patterson Stadium at the University of Louisville, and Cliff Hagan Stadium at the University of Kentucky.

Reagan Field has been the home of Murray State Baseball since its first game on March 11, 1989 when the 'Breds hosted Eastern Illinois.
