Kozlowski Named Murray State Pepsi Athlete of the Week

Murray State senior first baseman Mike Kozlowski was named the Murray State Pepsi Athlete of the Week for his performance last week for the 'Breds.

Kozlowski collected nine extra-base hits and also hit for the cycle as Murray State won 4-of-5 last week against Northern Illinois and UT Martin. Kozlowski hit .571 (12-for-21) during the week and added six doubles, one triple, a home run, 11 RBIs and scored six runs.

Kozlowski became the first 'Bred since Colton Moore in 2010 to hit for the cycle. Kozlowksi went 4-for-6 in his cycle game against Martin and added three RBIs and scored four times. Kozlowski was also named the OVC's Hitter of the Week for his efforts.

Kozlowski and the rest of the 'Breds will travel to Evansville on Tuesday night for a non-conference tilt with the Purple Aces at 6 p.m. MSU returns to OVC action this weekend as it will face SIU Edwardsville March 22-24.
