Stetson Named Murray State Pepsi Athlete of the Week

Murray State junior outfielder Ty Stetson has been named the Murray State Pepsi Athlete of the Week for his five-game performance last week for the 'Breds.
Stetson recorded a .500 (10-for-20) batting average against Memphis, Mid-Continent and Alabama A&M last week. Stetson also scored six runs and drove in five during MSU's 4-1 week. Stetson extended his hitting streak to 14 games during the week and at one point, Stetson reached in seven-straight plate appearances.
For the week, Stetson recorded a .600 on-base percentage and a slugging percentage of .650. In the middle game against Alabama A&M, Stetson went 3-of-6 with four RBIs, scored two runs and had a double and a triple in the 'Breds 16-4 victory.
The 'Breds will travel to Tennessee Tech this weekend for a three-game series beginning Friday. First pitch is set for 6 p.m. from Cookeville.
