Racer CB Hanley Selected To Play In Las Vegas All-American Classic

Murray State senior cornerback Michael Hanley was recently selected to play in the Findlay Toyota Las Vegas All-American Classic, a college all-star football game held on January 17 at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas.
Hanley, who will play for the East squad, is among 110 college seniors selected to play from among the top football schools in the country.
"This is a great honor for Michael and he is deserving of any attention that he gets because of his talent, as well as his work ethic," said Racer head coach Joe Pannunzio. "Michael will represent himself and Murray State very well in Las Vegas."
A transfer from Indiana University, Hanley has four interceptions on the season, which leads the team and is tied for first in the Ohio Valley Conference. He is also fifth on the team in tackles with 35, including one fumble recovery, one forced fumble and a blocked kick.
Hanley, a former all-state player at Apollo High School in Owensboro, Ky., came to MSU in 2002 but was forced to sit out the season due to transfer rules.
Players are scheduled to arrive in Las Vegas on Jan. 11 where they will begin a week's worth of practice. NFL scouts will also be on hand to observe the players during skills tests.
