Racer Football Family Fun Day Set For Aug. 23

The Murray State football program will host the 2nd Annual Racer Football Family Fun Day on Saturday, Aug. 23 at the MSU intramural practice fields located between Waldrop Drive and 16th Street.
The activities will begin at 9 a.m. with a Racer football scrimmage, followed by a Kids Mini-Skills Camp from 10:30-11:30 a.m. and will conclude with an autograph session with the MSU players and coaches.
Admission is free and everyone is invited to attend.
"The great Racer football fans are a very important part of our program and the success we had in 2002," said fourth-year MSU head coach Joe Pannunzio. "Our players and coaches truly enjoyed working with the kids at last year's Family Fun Day, and we urge everyone to come out this year and spend some time with us."
MSU opens the 2003 regular-season on Saturday, Aug. 30, as the Racers host Valparaiso at 6 p.m. at Roy Stewart Stadium. Tickets can be purchased through the MSU ticket office at (270) 762-4895.
