Racers place sixth out of 16 teams, Shirley finishes ninth at F&M tourney

The Murray State men's golf team finished in sixth place at the 16-team F&M Bank/APSU Intercollegiate Tournament, held at the par-72, 6,841-yard Links of Novadell at Hopkinsville, Ky.
Sophomore Kyle Shirley tied for ninth in the 83-golfer meet with a three-round score of 213, 3-under par and just three strokes behind third place.
Sophomore Will Cox finished with a 217, while freshman Michael Craft and sophomore Jamie Frazier each had a 220 and Jerry Price had a 224. Freshman Kyle Landrum golfed as an individual and had 236.
This golf tournament completed the fall portion of the team's schedule.
