"This was the first time for our team to host a tournament in about 10 years," said MSU head coach Eddie Hunt. "We had some good teams here, and some good scores. The course was in great shape, and we had good weather. We had a lot of compliments from the other teams about this tournament.
"Our kids really responded well over the las two rounds. We got gradually better, and that's what I like to see, playing better as we go along. Our guys really played well."
Murray State will next play at the Greg Palmer Eagle Classic on Oct. 12-13 at Morehead, Ky.
