Justin Ard leads Racers in OVC post-season awards

Offensive lineman Justin Ard was named first-team All-Ohio Valley Conference today in voting conducted by the league's coaches and sports information directors.

Ard was the only first-team selection for the Racers.

Offensive lineman Eugene Russell was named to second-team All-OVC.

Defensive lineman Marcus White was also named to the OVC second team. Laroni Gallishaw and Onsha Whitaker were named to the OVC second team as defensive backs.

Whitaker led the OVC with seven interceptions and was ranked fourth nationally.

The Racers were tops in the OVC in total defense.
