Racers Announces Two More Signees

Minielli, entering his fifth season as the Racers' only head coach since its first varsity campaign in 2000, has added Liz Bennett in Beavercreek, Ohio, and Jen Nowak of St. Louis, Mo.
The latest signees join Courtney Buchanan, Kara Carlisle, Holli Cato, Jenna Kirkpatrick, Frankie Maynard, Jaclyn Ramage, Sara Struve and Molly Wolfe as a part of the Racers' 2004 recruiting class.
"I really like the way this recruiting class has come together for us," Minielli said. "We've got a total of 10 signees, and we've been able to address a specific need with each one."
Bennett, a midfielder/defender, competed at Carroll High School in Dayton, Ohio, while Nowak, also a midfielder/forward, played for Cor Jesu Academy in St. Louis, Mo.
"With Liz and Jen, once again we were able to make some positive strides in some of the specific areas we targeted entering the recruiting period."

"Liz is a great addition to our team. She is very good in the air and very good defensively. These are two areas we had to address. She's underrated as an offensive player as well. We think she will be a great all around player and should have an impact on the field next year."
-- Jen Nowak
"Jen fits our profile for the freshman class. She is quick and high energy player. I expect she will really help us out up front or as a wing-mid."
