Former Racer standout Anthony Hutch to play on TV Sunday in AFL matchup

Former Murray State defensive lineman Anthony Hutch can be seen on TV on Sunday as his New York Dragons of the Arena Football League host the Colorado Crush. Game time is 2 p.m. CT on NBC, locally seen on WPSD (TV-6, Paducah).
Hutch played for Murray State from 1992 to 1996, getting a medical redshirt season in 1994 after suffering a knee injury. He was second on the team with 4.5 sacks, earning All-Ohio Valley Conference First Team honors, and led the team with 65 tackles in 1993, earning All-OVC Second Team accolades. As a senior, he led the team in 1996 with 9.5 sacks and 14 tackles-for-loss, and ranked second on the team as a freshman in 1992 with 75 tackles.
He closed out his collegiate career with 234 tackles and 39 sacks and 43.5 tackles-for-loss.
A native of South Fulton, Tenn., Hutch began his AFL career with the Iowa Barnstormers in 1997. In 1999, he recorded 19.5 tackles and led Iowa with 2.5 sacks, earning the first of two consecutive Iowa Lineman of the Year Awards.
The 6-3, 295-pound lineman moved to the Chicago Rush in 2001, and earned Chicago's Lineman of the Year Award in that season with 16 tackles and a career-high 5.5 sacks.
He went to New York -- where he wears No. 82 -- as a free agent in the 2003 season. Last year, he had a career-high 22 tackles and bolstered the Dragons to the playoffs.
