Hedley, Orazine Hold First And Second After Day Two At Eastern Kentucky

Murray State senior's Cuyler Hedley and Nikki Orazine sit first and second respectively while the Lady Racer golf team continues to hold a seven-shot lead after today's second round at the EKU Lady Colonel Classic at the 5,817-yard, par-72 Arlington Golf Course in Richmond, Ky.
The third and final round of the event is set to begin at 8 a.m. CT on Saturday with a shotgun start.
Hedley, a native of Cobourg, Ontario, fired a second round 2-over-par 74 for a two-day total of even-par 144 to hold a three-shot advantage over her teammate. Orazine, a native of Paducah, Ky., fired the low round of the second day with a 1-over-par 73 for a two-day total of 147 and sole possession of second place in the field of 87 golfers.
Overall, MSU finished with a second round 313 for a two-day total of 614 to keep a grasp on its seven-shot lead over Ohio Valley Conference rival Tennessee Tech, which sits in second-place with a 621. Host Eastern Kentucky fired a second round 308 to move into third with a total of 625, while Xavier University is fourth in the field of 15 teams with a 631.
Lady Racer freshman Christi Baron is tied for 20th with a 77 - 83 = 160, while junior Santie Koch is tied for 31st with an 80 - 83 = 163.
Following the EKU Lady Colonel Classic, MSU will look to defend its 2003 Ohio Valley Conference title at the 2004 OVC Championship on April 26-28 at the Country Club of Paducah (Ky.).
