Hedley Tied For The Lead At The Big River Telephone Lady Racer Classic

Senior Cuyler Hedley fired a tournament-low 1-under-par 71 en route to a two-round total of 150 and a first-place tie after the first day of the Big River Telephone Company Lady Racer Classic today at the 6,017-yard, par-72 Frances E. Miller Memorial Golf Course in Murray, Ky.
Overall, the Lady Racers, winners of the last two Ohio Valley Conference titles, fired a 305 - 312 = 617 to hold second place in the 13-team event, just four shots off Kentucky's 310 - 303 = 613. East Tennessee State is third after a 321 - 320 = 641, while OVC rival Eastern Kentucky is fourth at 338 - 319 = 657. MSU's "Gold" squad is seventh after a 331 - 337 = 668.
Hedley, a native of Cobourg, Ontario, is tied with UK's Eva Gessner with the 6-over-par, two-round total of 150. MSU junior Santie Koch is alone in fourth in the field of 68 golfers after a 77 - 75 = 152, while junior Julie Bennett is in seventh after a 77 - 79 = 156. Freshman Christi Baron is in a tie for 10th place with a 74 - 84 = 158 to lead the way for MSU's "Gold" squad.
Junior Ashley Kelbough is in 14th after the first two rounds with an 80 - 79 = 159, while senior Nikki Orazine is tied for 15th with an 80 - 81 = 161. Newcomer Camilla Loeveid was the seventh MSU player to finish in the top-21 with an 84 - 78 = 162.
