The Murray State football program and the RACER Foundation will host the 3rd Annual MSU Football Kickoff Dinner fundraiser on Friday, Aug. 20, at the Murray Country Club.
The cost of the event is $100 per ticket and includes dinner for two, dancing, live music, lots of entertainment for everyone and a chance at the $10,000 grand prize, to be won that evening. Dinner only tickets are also available for $25 each.
"The Kickoff Dinner has become a very important event for our football program," said fifth-year MSU football head coach Joe Pannunzio. "It's a very enjoyable event for everyone involved in our program, and it brings all of our coaches and fans together to kickoff the football season in style."
The event will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a social hour, followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. Dinner will include an Italian Buffet featuring spaghetti, lasagna, salad, bread and dessert.
The raffle, which will include prizes for every ticket holder, will begin at 7 p.m. and conclude with the announcement of the $10,000 grand prize winner. The live entertainment will be provided by the Clarence Dobbins Revue.
"In just two years, the Kickoff Dinner has become one of our most highly anticipated events at MSU," said RACER Foundation director Kenny Roth. "It's an eventful night for everyone with great entertainment, great food and lots of fun, and we encourage people to make plans now to attend."
Only 300 tickets are available, so fans should make their reservations as soon as possible. MSU will accept Visa or MasterCard.
To make reservations or for more information, call (270) 762-6800 or (270) 762-4895 and ask for Susan or Tina.
The Racers will open the 2004 football season at home on Saturday, Aug. 28 at 6 p.m. CT against Glenville State at Roy Stewart Stadium.
