Racer football to host Kids Clinic

Immediately following the Murray State's football scrimmage this Saturday, the football team will host the Racer Football Kids Clinic, beginning at 4:15 p.m. at the Racer football practice field behind Roy Stewart Stadium.
The clinic is open to boys and girls from kindergarten through eighth grade. Free Racer football posters will be available.
"We really enjoy putting on this clinic," said MSU head coach Joe Pannunzio. "Sometimes, it seems like the girls enjoy it more than the boys!
"We teach the kids how to recover fumbles, jump into tackling dummies, tackle and block, and at the end of the clinic, we sign autographs. It's a fun time for all of us, so we want everyone to come out and participate."
THE RACERS' EDGE: "Our kids have been working hard," said Pannunzio of the Racers' recent practice sessions. "I'm surprised at how consistent we've been in practice.
"I'm impressed with our defensive schemes. They've done a good job of disguising blockers. It seems like there's 60 guys out there."
CHANGING FIELDS: The Racers will move tomorrow (Thursday) from the MSU intramural field to its practice field behind Roy Stewart Stadium. Murray State will hold its second and final pre-season scrimmage on the practice field, beginning with an hour-long practice session at 2:30 p.m., followed by the scrimmage at 3:30 p.m.
