Turner named to I-AA.org team

Junior running back Nick Turner was named to the weekly I-AA.org All-Star team, released by the Web site that specializes in information about NCAA Division I-AA football.

Turner was a member of this week's team, which also featured wide receiver Efrem Hill of Samford, defensive end Alvin Robinson of North Dakota State and running back Kyle Steffes of North Dakota State.

Turner was named to the honor for amassing 278 all-purpose yards in Murray State's 56-3 win over visiting Glenville State on Saturday. Turner had a game-high 106 rushing yards, a game-high 102 punt return yards, a team-high 43 receiving yards and a team-high 27 kickoff return yards. He scored two touchdowns, one on the ground and one on a 65-yard punt return.

Murray State visits I-A opponent Connecticut on Saturday at 11 a.m. CT.
