The Murray State football team and MSU Marching Band have brought back the traditional pep rally to the Murray State campus.
Like it did before the season-opener against Glenville State, the MSU Marching Band, under the direction of John Fannin, and Racer football team with head coach Joe Pannunzio will begin a rally march around MSU's Dormitory Circle.
The march will begin at Winslow Cafeteria on Friday at 7 p.m., and will proceed around the dormitory area. All Racer fans are invited to take part in the fun.
The pep rally is a combined effort between the football team and marching band to draw interest and excitement in Racer football.
"These guys are always practicing several hours a week, all week long, for a 10-minute show," Pannunzio said of the marching band. "This is one of the best marching bands in the country. We appreciate their support of our team and are proud to join with them to get students to come out to the game."
