Racers place fourth at APSU

The Murray State men's golf team placed fourth at the F&M Bank/Austin Peay Intercollegiate played at the Links of Novadel in Hopkinsville. As the fall winds down, the Racers had a win, two second-place finishes and as fourth place finish in their last four tournaments.
The Racers were led by Michael Craft who fired three steady rounds of 73-73-70 for a total of 216, good for ninth place out of 75 competitors.
The Racers finished in fourth place with a three-day total of 868 which was 14 shots behind champion Western Illinois. Austin Peay finished second at 858 and Belmont was third with a score of 860.
Kyle Shirley fired rounds of 73-72-72 for a score of 217 and a 12th place finish. Jamie Frazier finished in 25th place with scores of 73-73-74 = 220. Mitchell Moore had rounds of 70-73-77 = 220, good for a 25th place finish, and Will Cox had rounds of 79-74-72 = 225 and a 42nd place finish.
The Racers are now off until beginning the spring portion of their schedule begins in March.
