Racers sign four from Kentucky

The Murray State men's golf team announced the signing of four golfers from within the commonwealth to National Letters of Intent: Hunter Ford of Paducah, James Stevenson of Hopkinsville, Garrett Veal of Henderson and Jared Wolfe of Louisville.

Ford, who golfs for Paducah-Tilghman High School, placed sixth in the Kentucky high school state tournament last fall.

Stevenson, of Hopkinsville High School, qualified for the state tournament last fall and placed among the top 15.

Veal, who plays at Henderson County High School, won the 2nd Region golf tournament and was named all-state this season.

Wolfe, of Butler High School, qualified for the state tournament from a strong Louisville region.

"I'm very excited about the four student-athletes who have decided to join our golf program at Murray State," said MSU head coach Eddie Hunt. "All are outstanding students and some of the best players in the state of Kentucky,"
