Scott named OVC Newcomer of the Week

Junior forward Joi Scott earned Ohio Valley Conference Newcomer of the Week honors after a 24-point, 11-rebound performance in last night's 78-77 win at Jacksonville State.

Scott scored the game-winning basket on a putback as time expired. She had 24 points on 11-for-19 shooting from the field.

Murray State continues its four-game road swin at Samford tomorrow (Tuesday) at 7 p.m.
