Flowers, a junior nutrition major from Mayfield, Ky., where she attended Graves County High School, distinguished herself by being involved with numerous community service and campus service projects.
She has spent time helping those in need in the country of Trinidad and donated her time to youth groups in Graves County.
In addition to being a member of the varsity women's rowing team, Flowers volunteers as a peer tutor in the MSU Athletics Weaver Center for Academic Enhancement.
She has been instrumental in activities for Eating Disorder Awareness Week, local Relay for Life activities, National Girls and Women in Sport Day and numerous other events connected to the Murray State University Women's Center.
"We are extremely proud of all of our student-athletes and the tremendous commitments they've made to our community," said Matt Kelly, assistant director of athletics for academics. "Lindsey believes in community, and her actions show how much she cares. We're very proud that she's a Racer."
As a Coca-Cola Community All-American, Flowers will be Murray State's nominee at the national level.
A panel of representatives from the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) will select six student-athletes from NCAA, NAIATM and Junior/Community College member institutions as national Coca-Cola Community All-Americans.
