Skinner takes second in high jump, Robinson fifth in weight throw

John Skinner finished second in the men's high jump at the Redhawk Invitational on Friday at Cape Girardeau, Mo., while Dominique Robinson placed fifth in the women's weight throw.

Skinner had a leap of 6 feet, 2 inches, four inches behind event winner James Busby of Memphis.

Robinson had a toss of 46 feet, 4 inches. Gail Lee of Memphis won the event with a toss of 60 feet, 4 inches, a site record.

Murray State will next compete at the Ohio Valley Conference Championships on Feb. 25-26 in Charleston, Ill.
