Orazine earns second straight OVC Golfer of the Week honor

Senior Nikki Orazine earned her second straight Ohio Valley Conference Women's Golfer of the Week honor, according to a release issued by the league office yesterday.

Orazine earned this week's honor after placing third at the Lady Herd/El Diablo Intercollegiate with a three-round score of 228, just six shots behind first place. She has a season per-round average of 76.6, leading the conference.

Murray State will next compete at the Saluki Invitational at Carbondale, Ill., on March 27-28.

** MSU GOLF NOTES **
Senior Santie Koch ranks second in OVC women's golf with a 77.3 per-round average. Junior Ilka Loubser is seventh at 80.1, while junior April Steenbergen is 15th at 81.7.

On the men's side, senior Kyle Shirley is fifth in the OVC with a 72.9 per-round average. The Murray State men's golf team next competes on April 4-5 at the Belmont Invitational.
