Lady Racers finish ninth at SIU

The Murray State women's track and field team placed ninth at the SIU Spring Classic, held Saturday at Carbondale, Ill.
Jamie Nurnberger scored all of Murray State's points, placing fifth in the hammer throw with a toss of 163 feet, 11 inches (49.97 meters).
Other Murray State women's results in the Spring Classic included:
Chanel Morgan, long jump, seventh, 17 feet, 7.5 inches (5.37 meters).
Laura Schroeder, javelin throw, seventh, 97 feet, 8 inches (29.78 meters); discus throw, 18th, 115-9 (35.28m).
