Racers to host annual Regatta Saturday at KenLake

The Murray State women's rowing team will host its seventh annual Racer Regatta on Saturday. The finish line and spectators area is at the rear of the KenLake Hotel on Kentucky Lake in Aurora, Ky.

The seven-race regatta begins at 8:30 a.m. with the men's novice fours launching the day. The women's novice fours will be held at 8:45, while the men's varsity fours will race at 9:30. The women's varsity fours will begin at 10 a.m., followed by the men's novice eights at 10:15. The women's novice eights race at 11 a.m., and the regatta concludes with the men's varsity eights, which begin at 11:45 a.m.

Teams taking part in this year's Regatta include Missouri, Northwestern State and Rhodes. T-shirts will be available at the Regatta.

"We're expecting to have good weather, so I hope we get a good Murray State turnout," said MSU head coach Bill McLean. "There will be some exciting races, so it should be a good opportunity for rowing fans and new fans alike to enjoy themselves."
