Senior Santie Koch was named Ohio Valley Conference Women's Golfer of the Week, according to a release issued by the league office this afternoon.
Koch earned the honor by winning the Saluki Invitational last week, winning a tie-breaker to earn titlist honors in the 90-golfer meet. Koch scored a two-round 151, including a co-tournament-best 73 in the first round.
Murray State has won three of the four OVC Women's Golfer of the Week honors this season, as senior Nikki Orazine won on March 9 and March 23. Orazine (76.7 per-round average) and Koch (77.1) are the top two golfers in the conference. Junior Ilka Loubser (7th, 80.1) and junior April Steenbergen (14th, 81.7) also rank among the league's top 15.
The Lady Racers are 18-1 (.947) against OVC teams and 101-16 (.863) overall in nine tournaments.
MSU will next compete on April 6-8 at the Lady Colonel Classic in Richmond, Ky.
