Shirley named OVC Golfer of the Week

Junior golfer Kyle Shirley was named Ohio Valley Conference Men's Golfer of the Week in a release issued by the league office this afternoon.

Shirley was the co-titlist at the Grover Page Classic at Pickwick Dam, Tenn., on March 7-8, shooting an even-par 216. Shirley rallied after a first-round 75 to score a 70 and a 71 in the next two rounds. His efforts helped Murray State finish third in the 10-team tournament.

Murray State will next compete on March 14-15 at the North/South Intercollegiate in Jacksonville, Fla.
