MSU track competes at Vanderbilt

Several members of the Murray State men's and women's outdoor track team competed at the unscored Vanderbilt Invitational in Nashville, Tenn., on April 22-23.
On the women's side, Jamie Nurnberger was seventh in the shot put with a toss of 37 feet, 10.75 inches (11.55 meters), while Lauren Wilson was 12th in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4 minutes, 51.84 seconds, and Morgan tied for 12th in the long jump with a leap of 17 feet, 10.75 inches (5.45 meters). Lindsey Neely was 20th in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 19:46.58, while Megan Rainville was 28th in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 12:08.98.
On the men's side, Chris Champion placed 12th in the shot put with a toss of 44 feet, 3.25 inches (13.49 meters), while John Gorey finished 39th in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 16 minutes, 28.97 seconds.
