MSU leads Lady Colonel Classic by four strokes after Round 1

The Murray State women's golf team leads the Lady Colonel Classic by four strokes over host Eastern Kentucky after the first round of the three-round tournament, being held at the par-72, 6,193-yard Arlington Golf Course in Richmond, Ky.
All five Lady Racer golfers are among the top 14 in the 49-golfer meet.
Junior April Steenbergen is in second with an even-par 72 after the first 18 holes, just one shot behind current leader Beth Underhill of Tennessee Tech.
Seniors Nikki Orazine and Santie Koch are tied for seventh with a 77, while junior Ilka Loubser is tied for 12th at 79 and sophomore Camilla Loeveid is tied for 14th at 80.
Sophomore Christi Baron, golfing as an individual, is tied for 18th at 81, while sophomore Lauren Hughes, also golfing as an individual, is tied for 33rd at 86.
Murray State leads the tournament with a 305, followed by host Eastern Kentucky at 309, Tennessee Tech at 321, Western Kentucky at 339 and Austin Peay at 354.
Round 2 of the Lady Colonel Classic will be played tomorrow (Friday), and will conclude on Saturday.
