Lady Racers open 2005 season

The Murray State women's cross country team opened its 2005 season at the Belmont Cross Country Opener in Nashville, Tenn., on Friday. The Lady Racers finished ninth out of 14 teams.
Leading the way for Murray State was freshman Alaina Zanin, who finished the 4-kilometer (2.5-mile) course in a time of 15 minutes, 40.17 seconds, placing 33rd in the 120-runner field.
Freshman Kristen Heckert placed 52nd with a time of 16:04.66, while senior Lauren Wilson was 66th with a time of 16:47.58. Senior Megan Rainville placed 79th with a time of 17:15.64, while senior Lindsey Neely was 85th with a time of 17:24.51.
Murray State will next compete at the Memphis Twilight Invitational on Saturday.
