The Murray State Men's Golf team fired a final round 308 and finished 14^th in the Mission Inn Collegiate Classic in Orlando, Fla. The Racers total score of 916 put them just ahead of 15^th place High Point and just behind 13^th place Bethune-Cookman.

Charleston Southern came from six shots down in the final 18 with a score of 292 to beat out the host team Winthrop by three shots. Wofford finished third and Jacksonville State was fourth.

The Racers were led by Michael Craft and Jerry Price who finished in a tie for 47^th place in the field of 89 players. Craft fired a final round 74 to go along with a 77 and a 78 for a total score of 229. Price's 229 consisted of final round 79 after he had a 74 and a 76.

Nick Griffin has the Racers best round of the day with a 73 and moved up to 60^th place after rounds of 78 and 80 in the first two rounds. Chris Griffin had rounds of 75-77-82 and finished in 65^th position. Mitchell Moore turned in scores of 82-73-86 and finished 78^th.

The next action for the Racers is Oct 23-24 in Hopkinsville at the Austin Peay Intercollegiate played at the Links at Novadel.
