Trey Pearson rejoins Racers

"We're glad to have Trey back with us," Cronin said. "His absence was due to personal reasons. With respect to Trey, I want everyone to understand that his reasons were very real.
"Obviously, I wish he would've communicated better with me as well as the team. His well-being is my main concern, and we are happy to have him back with our team."
Pearson expressed his desire to be with his team.
"I am excited to be back with my team," Pearson said. "I apologize for my absence.
"I appreciate the support of my teammates and the coaches, and hope to help the team win the OVC championship."
Pearson was absent from the Racers' victories last Thursday at Eastern Kentucky and Saturday at Morehead State.
MSU (18-5) is two wins away from the program's 21st 20-win season. They have won eight straight and 13 of the last 14 games.
The Racers lead the Ohio Valley Conference race with a 15-2 mark.
MSU plays Thursday at Tennessee State at 7:30 p.m. and then hosts Illinois-Chicago Saturday at 6 p.m.
