In the first game the Racers gave up two goals in the first half but calmed down in the second half and dominated possession and rhythm of play.
Krista Llewellyn had a shot hit off the post and Rebekah Clay's header sailed just over the crossbar but MSU could not land any in the net despite holding an 8-3 shot advantage.
In the second game against Louisville Soccer Alliance the team came out with high intensity and played relaxed soccer, totally dominating from the very beginning.
Lauren Falls had a first half hat trick and Laura Oppegard capped off the scoring with a goal in the second half. Kiley Price, Jane DeWitt, Liz Bennett, Maureen McReynolds, Kayla Jones, and Jackie Ramage were credited with assists in the match.
The defensive unit of Annie Fortier, Tara Eby, Jenna Milward, and Lauren Blessinger did not allow a shot or corner kick.
