Murray State Soccer Announces Team Awards

Rebekah Clay was selected as the Most Outstanding Freshman and the Team Most Valuable Player. Following the conclusion of the season the
Clay, the first Racer to receive the honor, is a 5-foot-6 inch forward. She scored seven goals and had three assists for a total of 17 points in 2005. She was also named to the All-OVC Second Team and the OVC All-Newcomer Team.
Jen Peios was selected as the Most Outstanding Sophomore. The defender from
Laura Oppegard received the Most Outstanding Junior award. Oppegard moved from midfielder to defender in 2005 and became the first
Jessica Fioranelli took home the Most Outstanding Senior award. Fioranelli concluded her four-year career as a Racer having played in 72 games and started in 56 contests. She scored four goals and had three career assists. The Collierville,
Fioranelli finished her senior campaign with two goals and one assist.
