12 Murray State Golfers Play In Kentucky State Am

The Kentucky State Amateur begins Tuesday at the Cardinal Club in Simpsonville, and the field will feature 10 current or former players from Murray State.
"The State Am is the biggest event of the year in Kentucky golf and we're thrilled to have such a great representation of MSU golf there," Said Eddie Hunt, MSU Head Coach.
Among the field are current players, Nick Griffin, Mitchell Moore, Kyle and Joe Landrum, Garrett Veal, Chris Griffin, Tyler Buckingham and Jared Wolfe.
Former players Kyle Shirley, Josh Rhode, Jason Lancaster and Jamie Frazier are also in the field.
The 54-hole stroke play event is played Tuesday through Thursday. It features 156 of the best players in the state who will compete on a Cardinal Club course that plays 6,900 yards and a par of 71.
