“I'm excited to have two players that have demonstrated the ability to have success at the division one level,” Kennedy said. “They played for a great coach at BSC and a winning program, Dwayne and Ed were a big reason they won 19 games last season. They'll bring immediate experience to our team.”
Ed Horton is a 6-3 190 pound guard from
Horton scored in double figures 10 times, and turned in a season high 19 against UNC-Asheville where he was 6-of-8 from the field and 3-of-5 from three point range.

“Ed is a good player who can play the one or the two spot,” Kennedy said. “He helped his teams win a lot of games at the high school, junior college level and at BSC.”
“I like the fact that he can play two positions,” Kennedy added. “He's a well rounded player who does a lot of things well.”
Dwayne Paul is a 6-5 240 pound forward from

“Dwayne is a small forward that has shown an ability to score,” Kennedy said. “He can post up or shoot from the outside and he has a great feel for the game.”
“Last season he exhibited great leadership and character in the BSC program and made them very successful,” Kennedy added. “We'll rely on him heavily.”
The addition of Horton and Paul gives Kennedy two more weapons for the 2006-07 season.
“Two of the reasons we were interested in Ed and Dwayne was their experience and character,” Kennedy. “We have essentially a new team and they will partner with our only senior Shawn Witherspoon to give us excellent leadership.”
