Football Locker Room Renovation Project

When the Racers return to campus for fall practice, they'll come back to a remodeled locker room. The metal lockers that were installed when the stadium was built 33 years ago will be gone. In their place will be brand new wooden lockers. Each locker will have a custom name plate, with uniform number and hometown, for the player using the locker. In addition, each player's locker will have a list of all the players that have worn his uniform number and the honors those players received during their career at Fans can follow the progress of the renovation by viewing the pictures attached to the links below. |

July 7, 2006 - These pictures show the locker room before work begins.
July 11, 2006 - These are the first pictures of the locker room after the work began. A number of old lockers have been removed.
July 13, 2006 - The old lockers are gone. Workers are currently removing concrete. The old carpet will be removed by the end of the week. Next week installation of new carpet and new lockers will begin.
July 17, 2006 - The old carpet has been removed. The locker room is ready for the arrival of new carpet and lockers.
July 25, 2006 - The new lockers are here. About 80 lockers have arrived so far and will be installed this week.
July 28, 2006 - The new lockers are being installed and carpet is being installed in a portion of the locker room. Also, more lockers are arriving today.
July 31, 2006 - Many of the new lockers have been installed and the carpet in a portion of the locker room is nearly complete.
August 3, 2006 - All of the lockers are almost installed. Work continues on the ventilation system and the carpet in the main locker room will be installed on Friday.
August 4, 2006 - All of the lockers are installed and part of the carpet is installed. The remainder of the carpet will be installed this afternoon and the team will move into the locker room on Saturday evening at 5:30 p.m.
