Ryne Salyer To Start At Quarterback For Racers Against Missouri

Ryne Salyer will start at quarterback for
Salyer started five games, and played in all 11 games, last season as a sophomore. He completed 97-of-194 passes (50 percent) for 1,062 yards. Salyer threw eight touchdown passes and 13 interceptions.
Against Tennessee Tech on Oct. 1, Salyer entered the game at halftime and finished with 218 yards while completing 16-of-31 passes including one touchdown toss. A week later he started against Jacksonville State and completed 19-of-32 passes for 199 yards and one scoring strike.
Salyer made his first collegiate start against Indiana State in 2004, throwing for 189 yards on 17-of-23 passing.
Murray State opens its 82nd season of college football on Saturday (Sept. 2) when the team travels to Columbia, Mo., to face the University of Missouri at 6 p.m.
