MSU Soccer Plans Blue-Gold Scrimmage Sunday

With the arrival this week of the student-athletes, Murray State Soccer Coach Beth Acreman will put her team through the paces in a blue-gold scrimmage Sunday at Cutchin Field at
“My main goal with this scrimmage is to see what our returning fitness level is and to see how we have adjusted to the style of play we started to implement last spring,” Acreman said.
The MSU team will split into two squads and play two 30-minute halves.

Acreman has a busy first week planned for her team.
“We'll be working on individual and team defending in the first several days of camp and I'd like to see it carry over into a game situation when we scrimmage.”
The Racers had the chance to get to know Acreman in the spring and the fall season will see them learn more about how they'll compete.
“I'll be interested see how our team chemistry is coming along,” Acreman said. “That is a very important aspect of a successful team; we'll be working on that a lot this season.”
The Racers fall season begins with an exhibition contest at Middle Tennessee Aug. 19 in
