MSU's Meyer Plays for Trinidad & Tobago National Team

Racer Soccer player Katrina Meyer is back at Murray State after traveling home to Trinidad and Tobago to compete with her Senior National Soccer Team.

Meyer was an important part in Trinidad & Tobago's effort that secured a spot in the CONCACAF Gold Cup. As a starter for her country Meyer was influential in a solid defensive effort in wins over the Dominican Republic 7-0 and Haiti 3-0.

Meyer returns to the national team in November to lead Trinidad & Tobago in the Gold Cup. If her team finishes in the top two they will advance to play in the FIFA Women's World Cup in 2007. There are five other nations trying to advance as well including; Team USA, Canada, Jamaica, Mexico and Panama.

Meyer returns to the Racer team in time for their Friday home match against Arkansas-Pine Bluff. The match at Cutchin Field begins at 3 p.m.
