Racer Golf hosts MSU Invitational-Price Tied For Lead

If the
MSU has two teams in the event, a blue team and a gold team.
The blue team took a seven shot lead into round two after a morning 284, however their lead disappeared with a second round 303, while fellow OVC members Tennessee Tech and Tennessee-Martin caught up and passed the Racers. Tech had a 292 and moved into second place, while UTM took the lead with a 289.
The Skyhawks have a total score of 582, one shot ahead of Tech's 583 and five ahead of
Conditions made scoring a challenge on a day with plentiful sunshine, but a constant breeze and dry conditions gave the field of 58 players a tough go of it.
There were only five players under par in round one including, MSU's Jerry Price who had a two-under 69 and led the field. Teammate Mitchell Moore had a one-under 70.
There were no golfers under par in the second round.
MSU's Jerry Price is tied for the lead after scores of 69-75=144. He shares first place with Josh Butterfield of Lewis (73-71=144) and Cole Floyd of UTM (73-71=144).
Mitchell Moore of MSU is in eighth with rounds of 70-77=147, while Nick Newcomb sits in 13th after scores of 71-77=148. Jared Wolfe's scores of 74-77=151 has him in 24th, tied with teammate Cameron Carrico who had rounds of 77-74=151.
The MSU gold team is led by Mark Brant in 20th place with scores of 74-76=150, while Hunter Ford is in 32nd place with scores of 75-77=152. Garrett Veal fired rounds of 76-78=154 and is in 37th along with teammate Kyle Landrum who had identical scores. Chris Griffin had rounds of 76-80=156 and is in 45th position.
James Stevenson is playing as an individual and is also in 45th place with scores of 80-76=156.
The Miller Memorial course plays to a par-71 and 6,601 yards.
Tuesday's final round begins at 9 a.m.
