The Racers' blue team fired rounds of 291-284=575 and was three shots behind leader Tennessee Tech who came in with a 572 team score.
MSU's gold squad was in third place after scores of 301-288=589.
Individually, Cameron Carrico was leading the way for the Racers' blue team with rounds of 69-70=139 and was tied for the lead in a field of 86 competitors. Jared Wolfe was in fourth position with scores of 74-70=144. Nick Price had scores of 72-74-146 good for a spot in 10th while Nick Newcomb was in 25th place after rounds of 80-70=150. Mitchell Moore had scores of 75-75=151 and was in 28th place.
Skyhawk Fall Classic is being played Paris Landing Golf Course in Buchanan, Tenn. Paris Landing Golf Course is one of the signature courses in the Tennessee Golf Trail, which is part of the Tennessee State Parks system. The field includes 16 teams from 14 different universities. The par-72 Paris Landing Golf Course is playing at 6,685 yards.
