The Murray State women's golf team finished the fall portion of their schedule at the Troy University Invitational played in Montgomery, Ala. at Arrowhead Country Club.

The Racers fired rounds of 314-319=633 to finish tied for ninth with Louisiana-Monroe in the field of 18 teams.

Sophomore Megan McKinney came home as the best MSU finisher with a 13^th place showing in a field of 94 student-athletes. She had scores of 77-78=155. Alexandra Hinteregger placed 26^th with rounds of 78-79=157, while Caroline Lagerborg had scores of 76-85=161 which landed her a spot in 45^thplace. Bethany Yates finished 55^th with scores of 86-77=163, while Andrea Downer came home 73^rd with rounds of 83-86=169.

Jacksonville State was the winner with rounds of 304-307=611, with Nicholls State (616), Belmont (619), Tennessee Tech (623) and Troy (627) rounding out the top five.

The Arrowhead CC course played 5,926 yards to a par of 72.

The MSU women's team had a successful fall season with a third and fourth place finish in five events.

MSU's first event of the spring season is February 25^th at the Birmingham Southern Shootout.
